Working together at Riverhead Preschool
At Riverhead Preschool, we believe children thrive when families and educators work together. As your child’s first educators, parents and carers know them best, and we value your insights, interests and experiences.
We use Tapestry, a secure online learning journal, to share your child’s learning, achievements and special moments. Families can also add photos, comments and updates from home, helping us build a complete picture of your child and support their individual development.
Together, we create a strong, caring partnership that helps every child feel valued, confident and excited to learn.

The key person approach
Every child has a dedicated Key Person to help them feel safe, happy and confident from their very first day.
They get to know your child’s personality, interests and individual needs, while working closely with you to support their learning and development.
Through strong, caring relationships, we help every child feel valued, secure and ready to thrive.
Setling your child at Riverhead Preschool
Starting preschool is a big milestone, and every child settles in differently. We work closely with families to make the transition as gentle and positive as possible.
Before your child starts, we encourage you to get to know our setting, team and routines. During settling-in, we provide reassurance and support as your child builds confidence, forms relationships and becomes familiar with their new environment.
Together, we can help your child feel safe, happy and ready to enjoy preschool.
